Double trough sink this was originally designed to allow individuals to fill the bowl with soap and clean water each. Few, if any, the person doing the dishes this way again, most dishwashers fell into pots and pans and pre-rinsing dishes before putting in dishwasher. Small pan will fit in a double bowl sink but some big pots going.
